This report from FAO and the Food Climate Research Network looks at national dietary guidelines as a practical intervention to improve nutrition and environmental sustainability. Of 83 countries with NDGs, only 4 officially address climate: Brazil, Germany, Qatar, and Sweden. While this report does not specifically address public private engagement, it touches on the importance of multisectoral input in developing effective, practical and implementable NDGs and promoting uptake. It also highlights some of the tensions between public and industry stakeholders in agreeing on dietary recommendations, without compromising the integrity of the guidelines.
