This integrative review proposes a Universal Food Guide focused on whole food, plant-based diets, particularly vegan, as the healthiest and most sustainable option for reducing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and promoting planetary health. The guide highlights the adverse impact of ultra-processed and animal-based foods and advocates for evidence-based policymaking to align national food guides with scientific findings.
