This study highlights the low levels of food safety knowledge and poor hygiene practices among street food vendors in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with only 5.6% using gloves and 2.2% cleaning tables adequately. Among 350 surveyed vendors, education level and work experience correlated positively with hygiene practices like handwashing. Findings underscore the urgent need for targeted food safety training to mitigate health risks from street food consumption, given its significance as an affordable option for urban populations.
