Authored by Amanda Grech, Eloise Howse, and Sinead Boylan, this review examines governance strategies that support sustainable food systems across universities in Australia and New Zealand. The review analyzes 29 governance documents from 19 universities, highlighting that most universities focus on waste management, fair-trade procurement, and environmentally sustainable food consumption. However, only a small percentage of universities implement a holistic approach that addresses all three areas comprehensively. The study underscores the need for universities to adopt more integrated governance strategies to effectively promote and support sustainable food systems.
