“People are recognising that our global food system is harming the planet – and us,” says Dr. Richard Swannel, Director of WRAP. This article cites evidence that it is possible to make large reductions in per capita waste. Given WRAP’s achievements to date in reducing food loss, The Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 Initiative have selected WRAP for a scale up of funding to address food loss and waste. This funding will scale up collaboration. By helping business and countries depart from business as usual, this is a message of what is possible: resilience, sustainability and greater cooperation.
