This nationwide study from 2000–2020 found a rising incidence of IBD, particularly among the elderly. The crude prevalence rose from 376 to 972 per 100,000. The trend was notable for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, with geographic and gender-specific patterns. The findings underscore the need for targeted healthcare planning and awareness.
