This study evaluates food safety practices among 30 handlers of Kachumbari, a raw vegetable salad, in Mwanza City, Tanzania. Results reveal inadequate hygiene training (93.3%), lack of medical checkups (73.4%), and poor adherence to hygiene standards, such as handwashing and utensil cleaning. Recommendations include regular training, inspections, and governmental enforcement to ensure the safety of ready-to-eat foods and reduce foodborne illnesses.
