This cross-sectional study evaluates adherence to sustainable nutrition practices and consumer awareness of environmental benefits in Greece. Using the Sustainable HEalthy Diet (SHED) questionnaire, researchers surveyed 607 adults on their dietary habits, preferences for organic and local foods, and waste management behaviors. The findings indicate that while Greeks prefer local foods and organic produce, they struggle with composting and reducing meat consumption. Women were more likely to adopt plant-based diets, limit soft drinks, and choose pesticide-free crops. The study suggests that educational programs and improved infrastructure could promote sustainable dietary habits.
