This study explores gender-specific perceptions of sustainability and climate change among men and women in Ecuador’s traditional fishing sector, surveying 1,464 individuals across 40 fishing communities. Results reveal that women demonstrate stronger attitudes toward sustainability and climate resilience than men. The study emphasizes the importance of incorporating gender perspectives in fisheries management to enhance resilience and equitable sustainability practices.
