This study investigated how different dietary patterns impact cognition and cardiometabolic health in healthy adults aged 60–70. Three dietary patterns were identified: plant-dominant, Western-style, and meat-dominant diets. The meat-dominant diet was slightly linked to poorer long-term memory, with cardiometabolic health moderating this effect. The findings emphasize the complex interplay between diet, heart health, and cognitive function in older adults, highlighting the need for balanced diets to support healthy ageing.
