This presentation highlights food loss and waste (FLW) reduction through community-based innovation in Costa Rica. It discusses participatory, respectful approaches with Indigenous and rural farmers to improve livelihoods and reduce waste. Two case studies—cocoa (ASOMUN) and rambutan (APROFRUT) producers—illustrate how local engagement and listening to producer needs can foster sustainable practices and mindset change.
