This study examines aflatoxin contamination in cereals (Igbemo rice, maize, and groundnut) from Ekiti State, Nigeria. Results reveal the presence of four aflatoxin types (AFB1, AFB2, AFG1, and AFG2), with Aspergillus flavus being the most prevalent contaminant. The findings highlight the significant public health risks posed by mycotoxins in stored cereals and emphasize the need for improved post-harvest storage and processing practices.
