This study investigates the relationship between the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) and chronic diarrhea using U.S. NHANES data. Findings indicate a gender-specific association, with women showing a stronger link between pro-inflammatory diets and chronic diarrhea. An L-shaped relationship was observed, suggesting dietary modifications could mitigate gastrointestinal discomfort.
