This study investigates how health-related food literacy influences the willingness to pay for healthier foods in food-secure and food-insecure households in Korea. Analyzing survey data from 3,321 respondents, it finds that food-secure households exhibit higher knowledge and positive attitudes towards healthier foods compared to food-insecure households. Financial capacity is a key factor, with food-secure households more likely to spend on healthier options. The findings emphasize the need for targeted educational interventions to address disparities in food literacy and encourage healthier eating behaviors among low-income populations.
