This study quantifies wheat yield gaps across Morocco’s major production regions, analyzing the effects of precipitation, temperature, and soil moisture. Results indicate strong correlations between rainfall and yield, with temperature fluctuations negatively impacting productivity. Soil moisture had the most significant influence during the vegetative phase. Yield gaps ranged from 1.64 t/ha to 4.12 t/ha, with revenue losses of $194–891 per hectare. Recommendations include targeted strategies to reduce yield variability and enhance food security.
