This policy brief reviews 32 national policies and 19 stakeholder interviews to assess climate–nutrition integration in Cambodia. It finds limited alignment: 38% of policies show no linkage, and only 6% demonstrate strong integration with clear actions and resources. Key barriers include fragmented coordination, weak domestic financing, and gaps in climate–nutrition data systems.
While some high-level policies show progress, the brief highlights community-based models like Village Model Farms and Community Fisheries as promising examples. It recommends expanding the mandate of Cambodian Council for Agricultural and Rural Development, improving financing and data systems under the National Institute of Statistics, and strengthening sub-national coordination through the National Committee for Sub-National Democratic Development.
Overall, stronger coordination and sustained investment are needed to align climate resilience with nutrition security.
