Health Commodity Management Information System (Dagu-2 Software) Implementation Status in Public Health Facilities of South-western Oromia, Ethiopia

This study investigates the implementation status of the Dagu-2 health commodity management information system in public health facilities in South-western Oromia, Ethiopia. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research involved 33 facilities and 65 logistics practitioners. Findings revealed a 78.7% positive implementation rate, with notable use for operational decisions and logistics monitoring. Factors like antivirus usage and administrative support were significantly associated with success, while challenges included infrastructure deficits and management issues. The study emphasizes leveraging technology and stakeholder support to strengthen Ethiopia’s healthcare supply chain.
