The Community of Practice on Food Loss Reduction has a handful of tools, podcasts, and readings on food loss in a COVID landscape. The materials range from consumer advice, calls from food banks for industry support, overviews of the worsening challenge, and national and global initiatives. Particularly noteworthy is the Global Food Banking Network's call for partnerships to respond to the fallout caused by COVID. The volume of news reports on food loss as a result of the pandemic demonstrates the scale of a ballooning problem that requires urgent public-private action.
