This cross-sectional study evaluated the relationship between adherence to the EAT-Lancet diet and cardiometabolic health among 398 adults in northeastern Brazil. The Planetary Health Diet Index (PHDI) showed a significant positive correlation with improved cardiovascular health parameters, such as blood pressure and lipid profiles. The findings underscore the benefits of sustainable, plant-based dietary patterns in reducing cardiometabolic risks and promoting environmental sustainability.
