CASCADE Kenya strengthens nutrition policy implementation in alignment with national and county plans, including the Kenya National Nutrition Action Plan, Agricultural Transformation Strategy, and Food Fortification Strategic Plan. The program engages both public and private stakeholders in three counties. Key achievements include developing the first costed County Nutrition Action Plan in Nyandarua, supporting passage of the Nairobi County Food Safety and Fortification Bill, and training over 700 farmers in sustainable practices. It also facilitated access to EUR 65,000 in loans through VSLA and improved counselling skills of 120 frontline workers, reaching nearly 100,000 women. The project promotes multi-sector coordination and investment in food safety and fortification.
