This study examines the simultaneous adoption of drought-tolerant maize varieties (DTMVs) and other climate-smart agricultural practices (CSAPs) among 1,370 rural households in Nigeria. Using multivariate Tobit and ordered probit models, findings reveal strong adoption complementarity between DTMVs and manure application, as well as inorganic fertilizers. Key determinants of adoption include household wealth, access to training, and membership in cooperatives. The study highlights the potential of DTMVs to improve food security and household welfare when integrated with complementary CSAPs.
