The FAO-led initiative integrates nutrition into food systems across eight countries, focusing on policy development, capacity building, and knowledge generation. The subprogramme facilitated policy analysis, training of government and private sector stakeholders, and digital knowledge-sharing through the Technical Network on Nutrition. It also introduced a costing tool for nutrition-sensitive investments and conducted market surveys in six countries. The project strengthened local agrifood systems, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and promoted healthy diets aligned with FAO’s global nutrition goals.
