This study details the development and validation of a Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) questionnaire for literate mothers of school-aged children in India. Using focus group discussions (FGDs) and psychometric validation, the study identifies gaps in micronutrient knowledge and diet diversity awareness.
Findings show low awareness about micronutrient sources and deficiency symptoms, while attitudes towards diet diversity are generally positive. The study emphasizes the importance of nutrition education and behavior change interventions to improve micronutrient consumption in Indian households.
