This study investigates the connection between dietary patterns and COVID-19 outcomes in Iran. Patients adhering more closely to the Mediterranean diet and maintaining a higher Healthy Eating Index (HEI) exhibited reduced inflammatory markers and shorter hospital stays. Both indices were negatively correlated with ESR and CRP levels. The findings suggest that dietary patterns promoting anti-inflammatory properties may improve COVID-19 prognosis.
