This study examines food loss and waste (FLAW) as a global issue with economic, environmental, and moral implications. It aligns with SDG 12, which aims to halve per capita food waste by 2030.

Findings indicate that food loss occurs at production and supply chain levels, while food waste happens in retail and households. The study recommends enhancing food waste monitoring, improving supply chain efficiency, and promoting consumer education. It calls for multi-sectoral collaboration among governments, corporations, and civil society to develop sustainable consumption patterns.
