This case study details Guyana’s integration of agriculture with social protection through school feeding programs. FAO-supported initiatives included the development of a national school feeding policy framework, homegrown school feeding pilot, and farmer field schools. 30% of school meal produce is locally sourced, benefiting over 300 smallholder farmers. The program strengthens rural nutrition and food security, while creating market linkages for farmers and engagement among ministries and stakeholders.
