This video from Unilever shows the rationale for creating a segregated supply of certified palm oil. This video reminds us all that food chains that do not respect natural ecosystems are costly for everyone. Unilever has set ambitious climate and social impact targets and formed catalytic partnerships – for example, with U.N. Women. Only in partnership was it possible to establish a blueprint for safety for women in agriculture. The value of such partnerships and transparency will continue to be determined by how much Unilever’s practices can positively influence future public private engagements.
