This cross-sectional study investigates the links between body fat distribution and high blood pressure (HBP) in 1,423 Chinese children. Using Bayesian Kernel Machine Regression (BKMR), findings reveal that android and trunk fat increase HBP risk, while leg fat offers protective effects. Android fat posed the highest HBP risk, particularly among obese boys and girls. The study recommends body-part-specific exercise interventions tailored to children’s sex and weight status to reduce HBP risk.
