This study explores how foliar melatonin treatment enhances drought resilience in four sweet corn genotypes (Messenger, Dessert, Royalty, and Tyson) under water-deficit conditions. Melatonin application improved root length, antioxidant activity, and chlorophyll content, while reducing oxidative damage. The effects were genotype-specific, suggesting that melatonin could be integrated into sustainable agriculture to boost crop resilience and productivity in water-limited environments.
