This project in Papua New Guinea tackled food insecurity and climate vulnerability by promoting sago palm production. Targeting rural communities in Manus, Bougainville, and East Sepik provinces, the initiative introduced sustainable cultivation practices, post-harvest management, and value addition. It trained 3,000 beneficiaries and emphasized both large-scale and smallholder models. The project’s impact includes improved food security, enhanced climate resilience, and integration of results into the National Agriculture Sector Plan for 2024–2033.
