examines the comparative impacts of Portfolio Moderate-Carbohydrate Diet (PMCD) and Ketogenic Diet (KD) on women with PCOS. Conducted over 8 weeks with 46 participants, the trial measured outcomes such as body composition, metabolic markers, and reproductive hormones.

Both diets significantly improved anthropometric indices, metabolic health, and reproductive hormones. However, KD demonstrated superior efficacy in weight loss, fat body mass reduction, insulin sensitivity, and hormonal improvements (e.g., LH and DHEA-s). PMCD showed greater benefits in lipid profile regulation, improving LDL, triglycerides, and HDL levels.

The findings suggest tailored dietary interventions for PCOS management, depending on individual priorities such as weight loss or lipid profile improvement.
