This cross-sectional study evaluates the link between 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) levels and severe headaches or migraines using NHANES data from 2001–2004. Results reveal a significant inverse correlation, particularly in females, non-smokers, and non-drinkers, with higher vitamin D levels reducing headache risk. The findings suggest vitamin D supplementation as a potential preventive strategy for managing migraines and severe headaches.
