This study investigates the Australian population's knowledge and behaviors regarding health literacy and preventive health focus areas outlined in the National Preventive Health Strategy (NPHS). A survey of 1,509 adults highlighted trends in health knowledge, information-seeking behaviors, and engagement with healthcare providers. Cancer screening and prevention were the most accurately understood topics, while immunization, alcohol intake, and tobacco addiction revealed gaps in understanding. The research emphasizes the importance of reliable health information sources and underscores the role of primary care providers in addressing knowledge disparities.
