This study examines mining operations’ perceptions of climate variability and adaptation in southwestern Ghana. Workers report increased climate variability, with impacts on water management, safety, and production planning. The study uses the corporate adaptation framework to understand adaptation motivations, highlighting the need for stakeholder collaboration, especially with regulators, to improve resilience. Findings suggest that environmental and economic sustainability challenges influence adaptation willingness, essential for achieving sustainable development goals in Ghana’s mining sector.
