This study explores the impact of climate shocks on food security and maternal/neonatal health in Niger. The research analyzes trends between 2000 and 2021, focusing on food security policies enacted in response to two major climate crises (2005 and 2010).

Findings reveal that while targeted interventions improved maternal and neonatal nutrition in vulnerable regions, poor financial resources and suboptimal policy implementation hindered broader progress. The study emphasizes the need for resilient food systems, infrastructure investment, and targeted social protection programs.
