CASCADE Nigeria works across Kebbi, Jigawa, Bauchi, and Nasarawa states to support national nutrition strategies through multi-sectoral coordination, community-level implementation, and private sector engagement. The project strengthens nutrition-sensitive programming in agriculture and education and advocates for increased budget allocations. Key achievements include the development of nutrition policies and plans in multiple states, the establishment of Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network chapters, and training of over 3,000 women lead farmers. A major milestone was the approval of the Kebbi State Nutrition Policy, driven by CASCADE’s persistent advocacy. The project also builds resilience through Village Savings and Loan Associations and school feeding programs, targeting over 1.5 million beneficiaries.
