This study explores the relationship between tea consumption and life expectancy among U.S. adults using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Moderate tea consumption (3–5 cups per day) was associated with a 2.24-year increase in life expectancy at age 50 compared to non-drinkers. However, excessive consumption (≥5 cups/day) did not yield additional benefits. Adding sugar to tea may negate its health benefits. The study suggests moderate tea intake as part of a healthy lifestyle.
