This invitation-only workshop builds on a 2019 report commissioned by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) that analyses the opportunities and challenges related to aligning business accountability for nutrition. Based on recommendations from the report - and in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G) - GAIN and the SUN Business Network (SBN) carried out further research to progress dialogue and action. The focus of this work was to map the data collected and commitments made by companies and business associations either directly or through external accountability mechanisms. In this workshop, GAIN, SBN and the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) will present the conclusions of this additional analysis and discuss how each of the organisations and companies represented can contribute to better aligned accountability for nutrition, especially within the framework of the N4G process.
