This FAO-supported project assisted Mozambique’s government in improving agricultural policy and planning through enhanced statistical data collection and strategic frameworks. It contributed to the Strategic Plan for Agricultural Development (PEDSA II) and the National Investment Plan for Agriculture (PNISA II). The project strengthened the country’s agricultural statistics system, enhancing data accuracy at national, provincial, and district levels. These efforts support evidence-based policymaking, benefiting smallholder farmers and rural communities.
