This study investigates public perceptions of food cues in outdoor public spaces in the Netherlands. Using ecological momentary assessment (EMA), participants captured 461 photographs of food cues, primarily of unhealthy items. Findings reveal that while most participants found food cues acceptable, they were more open to governmental regulation of unhealthy cues compared to healthy ones. These insights can guide policymakers in designing public health interventions.
