Red Wine May Mitigate the Risk of Intracerebral Hemorrhage by Preventing Hypertension

This Mendelian randomization study shows that while overall alcohol intake increases intracerebral hemorrhage risk, red wine consumption is associated with a lower risk. The protective effect appears partly mediated through reduced hypertension and is supported by validation using Chinese population data.
