This narrative review explores the effects of obesity on fertility and the efficacy of medical weight-loss therapies in improving reproductive outcomes. GLP1 receptor agonists (liraglutide, semaglutide, and tirzepatide) show promising results, aiding significant weight loss and improving insulin sensitivity and ovulation rates. Other options, including Contrave and bariatric surgery, are discussed for their benefits and limitations. The study highlights weight loss as a critical factor in enhancing fertility, emphasizing the importance of preconception weight management.
