This study evaluated how lifestyle interventions (LI) affect gestational weight gain (GWG) and perinatal outcomes in obese women. Involving 1,874 obese pregnant women, the study compared standard care (SC) with a structured lifestyle program focusing on a low-calorie diet and physical activity. Women in the LI group achieved more adequate GWG and had fewer small-for-gestational-age (SGA) infants. LI reduced the risk of SGA births by improving weight gain patterns, highlighting the importance of targeted dietary and exercise programs during pregnancy.
