This study evaluates the use of glucose-ethylenediamine carbon dots (GE-NPs) in photoacoustic cancer therapy. GE-NPs demonstrated biocompatibility and, when combined with laser irradiation, significantly reduced tumor growth and improved survival in mice with Lewis lung carcinoma. The therapy's success is attributed to photoacoustically induced cancer cell destruction, highlighting GE-NPs as promising agents for integrated cancer imaging and therapy.
