This study examines how the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII), fasting blood glucose (FBG), and smoking affect pancreatic cancer (PC) risk and survival. Conducted in Korea, the study compared 55 PC patients with 280 healthy controls. Results showed that high DII scores significantly increased PC risk, particularly in women. High DII combined with high FBG levels or smoking further amplified PC risk. However, DII did not affect survival outcomes. Findings suggest that anti-inflammatory diets, normal FBG, and smoking cessation could reduce PC risk.
