This study explores the relationship between crop diversification and food security in six districts of Northern Bangladesh. Using the Herfindahl index (HI) and Food Consumption Score (FCS), the study finds that households practicing higher crop diversification experience improved food security. About 64% of farmers diversified their crops, positively affecting dietary diversity and resilience against food insecurity. Policy recommendations emphasize promoting education, training, and off-farm income opportunities to enhance diversification and reduce vulnerability among farming communities.
