The research investigates Argentine consumers' perceptions of food irradiation. Using the Awareness Scale on Consumption of Irradiated Foods (ASCIF), the study evaluates knowledge and acceptance of the technology among 500 respondents. Results indicate widespread misconceptions about irradiated food safety, with many associating irradiation with radioactivity. Educational initiatives and clear labeling, including the Radura symbol, are recommended to improve consumer awareness and confidence.
