This study explores the relationship between serum lipid profiles, lipoprotein ratios, and intra-pancreatic fat deposition (IPFD) in 1,046 Chinese adults using quantitative computed tomography (QCT). Results reveal significant gender differences: in females, remnant cholesterol (RC) and total cholesterol (TC) showed strong associations with IPFD across pancreatic regions, while in males, triglycerides (TG) and the TG/HDL-C ratio were linked to IPFD in the pancreatic tail. Findings suggest RC as a potential biomarker for IPFD in women.
