Summary: This cross-sectional study evaluates exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) practices among mothers in Sinder, Niger. Among 250 mother-child pairs, only 44% of infants are exclusively breastfed for the recommended six months. Reasons for early cessation include perceived milk insufficiency and lack of awareness of EBF benefits. EBF practices correlate with factors such as maternal education, occupation, and birth location. Health workers play a critical role in promoting EBF, underscoring the need for targeted educational initiatives to improve breastfeeding rates and child health outcomes.
