This study investigates the effects of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) and whey protein isolate (WPI) preloads on glycemic control in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Over three 24-hour periods, participants consumed preloads before meals. Results showed that combining MCT and WPI reduced postprandial glucose levels and glycemic variability while suppressing appetite. The findings suggest potential for MCT and WPI as nutritional interventions to manage glycemia in type 2 diabetes.
